Warm winter

Post by Zedman05 » Thu Dec 17, 2015 11:51 pm

We have had a warm winter so far. I cannot remember so many days near freezing in Nov/Dec. It is making it difficult to make the rink this year, but it is nice to work in.

Watching the Oilers/Hawks game tonight....where the hell is the snow in Chicago !!!??

Hopefully, it is staying away until 2037...

We have hit 50 probably every other day for three weeks. We're finally below freezing today for the first time in a month. I paved asphalt until the 2nd week of december here. It's nuts. That's WEEKS longer than I can ever rememeber. Nuts.

We've made it down into the 60's overnight several times. That sounds goofy, but it's actually a bit cooler than expected. We've had an extended time of cloudy days, which means the mid-day warmth isn't happening. So, overnight radiational cooling is more marked.
