Crop concerns

Post by Kip » Thu Aug 20, 2015 11:49 am

As the resident Old Guy, I have at least a passing interest in the weather. Just as a warning for Dominican cigar fans,we're in the midst of a horrendous drought. It's to the point of generating rumors of Santiago's municipal water supply drying up over the next couple weeks, as we've been in the emergency reserves for a while now. It's very much out of the ordinary for here.
Aside from the normal concerns, I'm a bit anxious for this year's tobacco crop. We're just weeks from planting time...

...sent by smoke signal from Cigar Country
White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise....
