Vacation spot

Post by Zedman05 » Thu Aug 06, 2015 11:40 pm

This is my view from the cabin for a week now.
9 hours on the road + 2 hyper and loud kids + packing for 10 days away from home + paying for it all = the fantastic view and awesome location for a week.
The cleanest water I have ever seen. We were here last year, and booked their nicest place this time. Right on the lake. Mountain spring fed lake.
Lilly pads with turtles swimming around in them.

Glorious!

...sent by smoke signal from Cigar Country
White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise....

Looks pretty great, Zed. I definitely would NOT want to have a cigar on that deck, though. Oh, wait. Yes, I would! Enjoy...

The waterfall we could walk behind. 2.5 hour hike for that gloriousness. Was a pretty cool experience.

Moved onto this place hidden in the mountains. Looks amazing, but when there is absolutely no AC anywhere here, it makes for a hot hotel room and eating experience. It has been in the mid 30's lately (aroumd 100 F), and our room faces the sun all damn day. Ugh.

Some cool old cars they have here at their little "ghost town" museum.

Ghost town is right! There's not a soul in those pictures. The shoes make it look like you're shooting an abandoned, and rather radioactive (!) area of Ukraine! Didn't know you could vacation around Chernobyl. Ha!

May BC is so beautiful. I can't wait to visit at somepoint in my life. I'm shocked by the temps but still adore the setting.
