La Alianza looks GREAT. Almost as good as Kip's pose in the pic from La Aurora :)

Apparently, that was a Taino pose used to communicate with the gods. I'm not entirely sure the guide wasn't just trying to get us in a weird position for a pic...

All kidding aside, the La Aurora tour was an overwhelmingly pleasant surprise. I didn't know what to expect, because it's a more "commercialized" tour - aimed at tourists who may or may not even care a whit about cigars. Once the guide found out we actually were cigar guys, he spent a great deal more time showing us around - twice the normal tour length, in fact (we were the only people there for a tour in the morning). I went into it not expecting much, and came out of it quite impressed. The EPC tour was also great - I simply contacted their production manager and he let us come by for a personalized tour...and gave us a nice parting gift as well. It was "coo."

Also, we learned that the La Aurora gift shop is a duty free shop without taxation. The cigars were priced considerably below what I can buy them locally. Bonus!

We picked up a couple of boxes of these in the store for 20/$65.00. The box doesn't say the size, but I believe they are 6x52. We were each given one of these cigars near the beginning of the tour.

Wow. That's a steal worthy of a missionary's budget!

I made a lengthy video of the entire trip, including still shots and footage, include the general geography, housing, people with whom we worked, and, of course, lots of pics of the cigar activities at Kip's house and the tours of the La Aurora and EP Carrillo factories. Enjoy!@
