Dominican visit

Just an fyi for y'all...we can set up combination mission work/cigar trips where you fly down for a visit and do a couple projects with us/see what we're all about, visit some cigar factories and locations, hit the beach for a day or so, etc. I believe Jose Blanco might even be persuaded to do a tasting seminar as part of a trip (he's done that before). The trips can be tailored to suit any particular group in terms of cost, with all the bells and whistles running about $100/day (includes your meals, lodging, transportation, cigar stuff, etc. Most folks do an 8-day trip from Saturday-Saturday, but that's flexible as well). Besides that cost, all you'd need is to get yourself flown down here. Most or all of the associated costs are also generally tax-deductible (consult your tax advisor). We'd pick you up at the Santiago airport and you're in our hands from there. If a good group would be interested (10-12 folks), it's a very real possibility.

Of course, there's the barebones option of sleeping on my couch but I'd be out and about working the whole time you're here instead of hanging out at cigar spots with you

This is a seriously cool thing. Having been to the Dominican for a cigar trip in the past, I'll add that this is not to be missed. As much as I love Nicaragua, there's a sense of self in the DR that is unlike anywhere I've ever been. It is indescribably "old world".

Fantastically, actually. We're doing well with rolling with the punches so far.

I advise winter visits. The UV Index is 14 today, and we're experiencing a cooler, more overcast day than average...

Woo! Just bought my tickets for a trip to Santiago this coming January. I will be contacting some of you privately to see if there might be something you'd like to send down for Kip and/or his family or, even, the show. Stay tuned...
