While I do feel bad about this potential loss, one does have to admit the humor of the situation. If gone for good you will rival Craig with the ability to lose cigar accessories valued above $2. :)

Ever find the Palio Bob gave you at the herf Kurt?
Why DOES the moon follow the car?

I have risen my game. Not only do I have no clue where that particular Palio is, I have absolutely no memory of Bob giving me a Palio! I've lost the memory of losing the palio! That's next level awesome.

Congrats, Kipper! I was genuinely deflated when I read that they were missing. Glad they showed up.

My car insurance expired while I was stateside, so I need to renew it.

So I called the insurance company to find out if they take a credit card at the office (most things here are cash only, in-person only). I've been there several times. There are exactly *two* people in the office....but to get them you have to navigate a system of extension numbers for different departments and topics.

Of course.

So, to put a bow on this....I went to their office. It wasn't there. They have a website, but like 99.9% of Dominican websites it hadn't been updated in years, listed the old (wrong) address, and the contact form didn't work. I called back, navigated their weird phone system, and got a person who could explain how to find them.

Good news is, it's now next door to the new cigar shop in town....

When I go back and reread parts of this thread, it looks like my life is one long series of weirdness only broken up by complaints. Despite the fact that the thread is biased toward my venting because it's one of few outlets, I am genuinely content in life....

As an objective consumer of this thread I think it's obvious to me and those like me, that these are fun anecdotes shared between friends. I do not "hear" a negative tone or unsaid pessimism. I hear a guy, sharing a funny story, with an audience of like minded individuals.
