Re: Pipe Tobacco reviews at The Cigarmy
Excellent! Robusto is a strange animal, and definitely NOT for everyone. I've yet to find a truly great cigar blend (except for Billiard Room, which has been gone for a decade). It's just hard to have cigar leaf and oriental varietals play nice, and even harder to make a "cigar blend" without both....

Re: Pipe Tobacco reviews at The Cigarmy
So, I've been tinkering again. I know...a surprise. I make no excuse for obsessing
.
I've only posted up two pipe tobacco reviews to date, and I want to iron the format out completely before getting too involved and would have to reformat a bunch of 'em. Pipe tobacco reviews are not conducive to the existing cigar review standard, so they'll be in a different format. The justification for that will be detailed in the guidelines. Below is a link to the format I'm looking at right now. It may display a little goofy on mobile at the moment, but it's coming together. The thing I like is it has FULL user review submission capability. Give it a once-over; I'd like some feedback on any ways to improve it. I might be able to implement the user review system into cigar reviews as well (which would most likely get more use from readers, since many more people who visit here are cigar guys).

I like the format of the page very much but dont feel familiar enough with pipes to comment on categories. They all seem logical but as for knowing if something is missed, well, i'm as worthless as tits on a bull when it comes to that.
