Whats in your bowl?
So this happened. This stuff has an amazing tin aroma. Unfortunately it doesn’t really come through in the smoke. The room note is kinda like a sweet burned rubber mixed with pencil lead. The flavor is....interesting. Very hard to describe. It has an essence of sweet pencil lead and rubber. It’s got hints of dark dark stewed fruits. Very very sweet after taste. No spice at all. This is a very strange yet interesting tobacco. Has anyone else tried this?

I have. All the ropes and their kin tend to be too strong for me, and I have to smoke them in tiny bowls or risk getting woozy. Too much or too quick and they turn acrid for me. They're storied blends with very long history (at least one blend has been in production since 1792, hence the name 1792 Flake). But, they're rare occasional blends for me - an admitted nicotine wimp.smokinsteve wrote:So this happened. This stuff has an amazing tin aroma. As a side note, my daughter's name is Kendall and at the time of her birth I may have been utterly obsessed with Lakeland District (specifically Kendal, Cumbria in England) tobaccos. Just a random fact that may or may not bear scrutiny from the more cynical tobacco opponents. The extra 'L' in her name might have been a concession.....

Working on my second bowl of GLP Fillmore while updating my laptop. Wasn’t super impressed with this blend a couple months ago when I popped the tin. But, now it’s smoking great! Can’t wait to see what some real age does to this blend.

As another side note from a man whose firstborn's name is Luke and his second born was supposed to have his middle name be Benjamin, I don't understand this at all.Kip wrote: ↑Sat Dec 01, 2018 4:07 pmAs a side note, my daughter's name is Kendall and at the time of her birth I may have been utterly obsessed with Lakeland District (specifically Kendal, Cumbria in England) tobaccos.
