Hearth and Home Red Eye is in my pipe tonight. Similar to Stokkebye’s luxury bullseye flake. But, HH red eye is a little stronger and has a richer flavor.

I was able to snag a couple of tins of C&D’s small batch Carolina Red Flake last week. Just got them in the mail today. It’s a good smoke. Need a few more bowls to really understand the flavors.

I’m really digging C&D’s Carolina Red Flake. It’s got a ton of flavor. Slightly sweet. A little spicy. And very bready.

Happy (late) Thanksgiving everyone!

I’m smoking some GLP Cairo tonight. This one is very different from the Va/pers I’ve been smoking lately. It still has Virginia and Perique tobacco with the addition of some oriental leaf. The orientals totally change the flavor. Man this stuff is tasty!

Picked up a tin of Grey Ghost by C&D at a local shop here in Houston. The tin is dated 4-14-17. This is the most aged pipe tobacco I’ve ever smoked. Wish it was a blend I liked a little better. The cigar leaf in Grey Ghost is a bit over powering. But, it’s not bad.
The pipe is unique. A “One” by Morgan Pipes. Really small and light. The briar “stem” is interesting.
