Even more sushi and cigars...
7 musicians and... Craig. Gathered at my house last night for the eighth iteration of this event. Added some cigar rolling”lessons,” too. Much fun, for sure...

Re: Even more sushi and cigars...
This was about as close to Sushi and Cigars as we got during the weekend of the event. Sadly when my brother had to arrive a day late we decided to switch to catch and release instead of spending the kid's entire day cleaning Bluegill and assorted fish. Still lots of fun and I think the old man (pictured) really enjoyed himself.

Also at breakfast on the trip the topic of Sushi did actually come up. A much different kind of 'sushi' .. SPAM sushi! We had SPAM and eggs for breakfast that day and got to talking. The idea is not original and Spam musubi is apparently crazy popular in Hawaii.

You are correct. There are even plastic molds that are exactly spam-sized that facilitate the sushi/spamloaf enterprise.815DC wrote: ↑Mon Jun 25, 2018 11:59 amAlso at breakfast on the trip the topic of Sushi did actually come up. Tied for the best sushi I had in Maui a few years back was a little farmers market that had someone "rolling" spam maki. It was fantastic. Completely unexpected. I'm not a potted meat guy.815DC wrote: ↑Mon Jun 25, 2018 11:59 amAlso at breakfast on the trip the topic of Sushi did actually come up. A much different kind of 'sushi' .. SPAM sushi!
