That looks awesome! While I'm not a huge fan of the cold, I'd love the chance to hang out for a few days and enjoy the scenery.

My buddy (that's his tent) shot an elk in this area this fall. So we ate him for dinner right where he went down! we had elk finger steaks, yum

As I said on Facebook, these pictures are absolutely perfect. I've never used a tent like that and am so very jealous. The problem for me would be the gear. I don't have real outdoor gear. I just layer like a champ. Oh, well, another problem might be that I live 1,300 miles from that spot. That doesn't help...

That is AWESOME. I love the idea, it would just suck spending more time outside in the cold than I already do. Enjoy those days, because one day you will wake up and find that you are too busy for anything anymore.

It's about this time again. I hope the trip is happening so I can live vicariously through you, Ian.

Oh yeah, it's happening. Pictures coming after the trip later this month or early January.

Do you guys always go to the same spot? Is it always just the 3 of you? What do you typically do while you're out there; hunt, fish? Looking forward to hearing more.
