Joya Red

Post by Kip » Mon Nov 10, 2014 10:39 am

Anybody smoked the Joya Red yet?

I'm writing up a review this morning, and it's performing very well. I've smoked a few already, and I think it's a good effort from JdN. It's well outside their normal "kick you in the throat" strength, but keeps a great deal of flavor (albeit considerably different flavor than I'd call standard for them). The more of them I smoke, the more I like. I don't think it's a Cigar of the Year contender, but I'm impressed.
White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise....

I've had a couple. The first was overwhelmingly earthy, but the sweetness made me try another. It was good, but I'll wait til after my third to make a call.

I've had one, and I enjoyed it quite a bit. I am going to smoke a few more this week.
