Nice to see people enjoying themselves! I’ve been stuck with burning machine rolled texas smokers from finks and swisher kings waiting for better porch weather to actually have something worth posting.

Soon I feel... soon

I broke with recent tradition and had a cigar! My friend Nick went back to the US for a bit and when he returned he came bearing gifts from a couple of my cohorts back in FL. So, I fired up a JC Newman Quorum - which, frankly, I haven't smoked in ages and didn't have much expectation base on my previous encounters. Whether it's because I hadn't smoked anything but the pipe for a while, or JCN is just making a better cigar these days, I have to say it was pretty good. I don't know that I'd go out and invest in them too much, but I ain't sorry I smoke it. It was one of those cigars that doesn't "WOW!", but also didn't disappoint. I reckon it'd be good for fishing. Not a distraction. Not gonna be sorry if it falls in the water. Great way to pass the time without feeling the need to put much thought into it. I'd give it a solid "B-" on its inherent merits, but a B+ at its $2 price tag

I like Quorum cigars. Your description is pretty spot on. They have a Connecticut which i could care less about and a Maduro which is supposed to be the best one. All i have ever had is the original sun grown since they dropped forever ago now.

Newman also machine rolls their tampa trolley, factory throwoutS, and trader jack cigars on machine in the usa but alot of times the draw is crazy snug. So I prefer quorum for my budget newman line. A step up in class to handrolled because hey, sometimes I’m worth it.

Another good weekend of cigars. These plus a Don Pepin Black label and a Herrera Esteli robusto.
