This is "new to me".
Bought this guitar for my birthday present to.....myself...heh.
No one in my immediate family are musically inclined, and I have always wanted to try strumming, so here goes with the steep learning curve and getting out of my comfort zone.
My kids both were surprised and had the same shocked reaction of "you want to play the guitar ?". I like to think that I am not a static person, and want to try new things so that I can continue to grow as a person. The 2 of them have both grabbed the guitar and asked how to pkay already, and walk by it, strum it a couple times and show a bit of interest. This makes me just as happy as just myself taking interest. I want them to open up from the lives we already live and try new things.

Sorry for the long post, just one of those days ^_^Image

This is absolutely heart-felt and brilliant. I love it. Good luck, my friend.

Learning guitar is on my Goal list. Great move. You’ll get more tail with a guitar then with a trumpet.

I would argue that neither of those are the "instrument of choice" in that endeavour....

@Stewmuse is a professional trumpet player - albeit a married one so I'd say he better hope his wife isn't reading the forum these days :)

How/why do you think she decided to take a ride on the Stew train?

Alec Bradley Magic Toast. About 6x52, medium body, little nicotine. A really balanced cigar that behaves well throughout its length. Quite enjoyable!

Drew Estate has come out with a budget line called Factory Smokes. Each of four blends - maduro, sun grown, shade, and a sweet - comes in three sizes, all under $3.00! I’m trying the maduro and sun grown tonight/tomorrow and will let you what I think.
