First test batch of cigars in about 3 years, these involve Peruvian tobacco (via WholeLeafTobacco.com). Had some of this leaf early in my rolling "career," before OtoaoCigars went away. I remember it being very good, and these have a slightly chocolatey scent, similar, but not as strong, as Colombian tobacco. We shall see how it fares some 8-9 years after my last efforts with it.
Sweet! If you want a testing panel I may know a guy with a questionable palate and even worse porch smoking weather on the horizon.

Maybe it's like becoming one with the cigar. You lose yourself in it; everything fades away: your worries, your problems, your thoughts. They fade into the smoke, and the cigar and you are at peace. - Raul Julia

Post office says they’ll be there on Monday. It now takes 5 days to
go 70 miles?

Getting back on the rolling train this month. Just free-handing, not worrying about specific sizes and molds. Kinda liberating.

I can appreciate that even with the constant threat of the hammer being dropped on the tobacco industry they continue to innovate and advance the craft.

This new experimental T-13 leaf sounds absolutely delicious!

El Artista was using that tobacco all the way back in 2013, or at least that's what they said. They're the small operation that makes several lines, including their own stuff and the Big Papi cigars for David Ortiz. I remember the guy telling me about it and giving me a cigar to try that featured it, but saying it wasn't yet close to becoming a marketable cigar. I always wondered what happened with it. The owners are primarily growers; the cigar making is still a pretty small operation for them. I guess they got the T13 off the ground and are selling it to other manufacturers now. Good on 'em
