Kip likes to say that good packaging will draw us in, for a first try anyway. So, which cigar bands have caught your eye, whether they are attractive, classic, cool, or ugly? Here are some that caught my eye...
The Asylum, Luchador, and Paul Stulac (Red Screaming Sun) are interesting because of their shape or image that is more "outside the box." The Aroma de Cuba, San Cristobal, and New World all have great imagery and color. Truly artistic.

Typically, green is one of my least favorite colors, but a bright, shiny green or green/gold really pops for me. I also like when a manufacturer will use a set design but change up the colors, like these from Torano and Pepin.

The Fratello band is superb in look and execution. It's the only band I've seen that wraps at a funky angle

I do like the holographic Cohiba bands for "spiffiness". Fuente sure does make a statement with most of their bands though.

Nobody beats Opus X or some of the other elegant Fuente bands. The thing is, it's like comparing a warm & cozy home to a perfectly adorned museum-like show house. Both are beautiful but they do not speak to everyone. I love the Fuente Prototype band with the big X. I also love the upgrade of a plain second band like the Cohiba Regionals. Beautiful & simple.

You know what I love about that picture, Kip? You're the one who looks mildly freaked out, not Carlito.
