I'll start the Cigar of The Day.........with a pipe picture. Still working on a tin of Dunhill Light Flake, this morning in an old Comoy's Grand Slam. Regretfully, the Comoy of today is not even a shadow of its former glory.

39th floor patio, downtown Chicago. A quick, home-rolled Nicaraguan before playing a wedding reception.

What a shot, Stew. I have two favorite views of Chicago.
The first is seen at night when driving the Kennedy in. Approaching North Avenue the highway sits on a perch. If you look South East, you catch the Northern & Southern skylines merged into one perfect perspective. All three major towers are highlighted perfectly and, with the darkness, quasi industrial close surroundings fade away, leaving only the metropolis in your view. Breathtaking.
My next favorite image is looking back in over the river, such as you are. Most views towards the lake catch the Trump (which I find to be architecturally gaudy & a poor neo-art deco example). Your view offers a true city feel but with the richness found only in older American cities. Many more recently matured cities tend to favor river walks & a natural setting by the water. Chicago's elegance is in a perfect & seamless transition between water & steel.

Plus, I love the weirdness of the two corncob buildings

Yeah, those just scream 1960/70s to me. I particularly love the intersect of Wacker and Michigan where it all kinda opens up in a wedge along the river.

Another of the best cigar to be released this year, in my experiences. The corona gorda is magnificent.
