Kip's "Minute Musing": Workhorse blends

Post by kurtdesign1 » Tue Jan 20, 2015 8:19 am

I want to know everyone's "Workhorse blends". I know mine and I know Kip's but I think these tend to tell something about someone. These are our favorite blends but not our best cigars. That lines up with where you need to be in your "happy place". What takes YOU there??

-Montecristo
-Ramon Allones
-La Tradicion Cubana
-Cabaiguan Maduro

I'm happy :)

What's (most) always been in the humidor...

Been hangin' around a couple of years or more (not individual sticks, per say, but the blend)
Torano Exodus '59 (gold label) - since day 1 (well, month 1) of my cigar life
CAO Brazilia
Don Pepin Blue Original
La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor

More recent steady attendees...
Nica Rustica
Torano Virtuoso
Don Pepin Cuban Classic (after a hiatus...)
Perdomo 10th Anniversary Champagne
StewMuse
Stay smokey, my friends.

How often do you all smoke these workhorses? I fee comfort from these blends but I don't necessarily reach for them regularly. Know what I mean? It's like fried chicken. I don't eat it often (I like my heart too much) but when I do, it always feels like home.
