Well, I think that I have a new addition to the roster. “Amado,” is named after Kip’s friend in the DR, Gracesqui, who is called that by his community. This is a fairly sweet cigar, with fillers of Dominican seco, Brazilian mata fina, and Paraguayan flojo inside an Indo-Sumatran binder and then covered with an Ecuadoran Connecticut wrapper. 5.5 x 43.

That sir is a lot of cigars. When Kurt said there were still like 2000 not pictured for the person he is helping after seeing all that was in the photo I thought.. Surely this is not the norm. However; witnessing your, Kurt, and Zeds cigar collections points out that I am simply a lightweight with my 1 humidor and small cooler :D

I see you got those Spanish Galleon sticks. How were they?
Actually, from my experience DC, you are the norm and Craig, Zed, and I have... “issues.”

The Galleons are pretty decent, tho there is an occasional klunker.
I kind of agree with Mike here, but at the same time, you have no idea how big my stash is. I have never shown it all. I smoke a lot of cigars in a year, and thus need to stock up. Plus, a lot of the Cuban stuff I have bought in the last 4 years has gone to aging. I just want to be preparred when the prices go so high, I cant afford them anymore, and I have stuff to smoke for a few years.....that is the idea at least.....

This was my philosophy exactly back when I was building my pipe tobacco cellar, @zedman. I knew I rather enjoyed aged tobacco, and it would never be as cheap again. So, I spent a lot then and now own more than enough to see me through any possible lifespan I could expect. As some blends have fallen out of favor with my palate, I have sold enough old/rare/discontinued blends that the collection is a net-zero endeavor. Plus, I'm sitting on tobacco now that is mostly in the 10-20 year age range.

Blends I was buying for $5US/tin just a decade ago goes for double that now at new retail, and far more if I were to sell the aged stock.

My main leaf supplier included, in my last order, a collection/sampler of wrapper leaf to try. Here’s the first round of them. Left to right: candela (!), San Andres, habano rosado, Nicaraguan rosado, and habano maduro. The candela and hab rosado were very nice to work with, while the Nic rosado and the hab maduro were just okay. The San Andres, like that I had bought from him a few years and subsequently abandoned as a wrapper, is still horrible and makes the cigars look like dog rockets.
