Still going pretty strong in 2015. 247 down, 753 to go. Perhaps this will turn into a contest/giveaway later this year...

Do you press the leaves before you roll them to get the veins down ?

I do not, Zed. In my first few months of rolling, I tried that with wrapper leaves, but found that it helped very little. When I started only (now, primarily) using the Ecuador shade and Connecticut leaves, things got better right away because the veins they had were much smaller to start. The mold itself does a fine job on the bunch.

This pic is of some of the 56 different test blends I've rolled since the new year. The last 4 (two each, on the right), admittedly, were inspired by Quikstryke and Kip's blend contest desires. The ones in the plastic bag are those with Latakia in them. Opened up the humidor and was nailed by the Lat smell. I'm still afraid of what those will become...

Came up with the theme for a new line of sticks (size, names, fillers). Maybe I can get the Pentagon in on this..

The Army (not to be confused with the Cigarmy!)

4.5 x 36 - Private (only very new sticks should be smoked - Honduran & Dominican, candela wrapper) - because these guys are green
5 x 54 - Sergeant (CT Broadleaf, Nic ligero, KY FireCured) - gruff, but down-home
5.5 x 43 - Captain (Braz Mata Fina, Colombian, and Cameroon) - smoother, traveled
7 x 48 - Colonel (Dom & Nic) - traditional, no surprises
6 x 60 - General (ligero, ligero, ligero...) - "You can't handle the ligero!"

"Hello, Dr. Stewart? This is General Pershing of the 7th Infantry. I need 50,000 cigars for immediate deployment to the Middle East. I'll have a truck there in 17 hours. Do not fail me." Oops...
