I'm sure your blend spreadsheet is amazing! Also, I might just have the recipe for an EPC cigar still. That might be kinda cool to compare tobacco tastes using the same blend!

Got in an order of leaf today from wholeleaftobacco.com. The center package should prove to be quite interesting... maybe even great... or horrible. Time will tell.

You planning on putting that into a cigar? AJF did that with the Spectre. It's a bit overpowering for most cigar leaf types....kinda like Sam Leccia's Darkfire on steroids in terms of flavor boldness.

I'm gonna try to do just that. I've never had this kind o' tobacco before. Got a suggestion as to what might go well with it? Aside from a pipe, of course...

Well, these may look harmless enough, and have just been turned in the mold. These are the first test cigars using some latakia tobacco, and frankly, I'm kind of afraid! The latakia is coarse, chopped into 1-2" sections, somewhat brittle, and MAN, does it have a potent aroma. Kip was dead on about having similarities to the fire cured leaf, but on steroids. I've made six sticks using combinations of Sumatran, Honduran, and Peruvian whole leaf and then two varying amounts of the latakia. These amounts might equal about 2-4% of the usual amount from a single whole leaf. Trepidations are worming their way thru my brain...
