Maybe it's like becoming one with the cigar. You lose yourself in it; everything fades away: your worries, your problems, your thoughts. They fade into the smoke, and the cigar and you are at peace. - Raul Julia

Added a second, somewhat stronger combination of leaves to the Mimic experiment (trying to replicate the Undercrown Shade. The blue label has corojo seco and viso, plus criollo viso. The newer, yellow banded ones contain corojo seco, and criollo viso and ligero. All have an Indo-Sumatran binder, and Ecuadoran-Connecticut wrapper, and are 5 x 50.

Thanks. If the Tribe wins, I'll be sure to include a Shade and one of each of these.

I wonder if the places that do make very long cigars actually have a mold for them, and then how much wrapper leaf that is large enough do they save. I used two large, whole binder leaves with each of these, simply overlapping them, but I doubt the wrapper will look particularly seamless with that technique.

Still no wrapper yet. You can see the roughness of the binder and lack of definition from the lack of a mold. It was actually pretty difficult getting them into even this shape and firmness
