Tonights Delight.

J Fuego Corojo Oscuro

You know what, I love these. I would gladly pay twice the price. They are an example of Corojo done right. No overpowering, spicy rip-your-face-off corojo blast on every puff. A great blend, and a wonderful milder end of medium. Sweetness and slight citrus. I can't believe these are bundle cigars. I have had enough now to know they are not a fluke. All have had perfect construction too. I think I may put some away for aging to see how well the molasus flavor developes into the body and mingles later.
Can't recommend enough for those that want a budget minded cigar the baller crowd should be scared of.
I would be curious to know what Craig thinks of this style of Corojo.

Lovely little unbanded from Cigar Jedi. Sweet and nutty to start, then develops a woodsy, pepper, baking spice flavor further in. I'll let ya'll know what is was when I find out. (Had a covered foot, about robusto size)

Absolutely splendid cigar in perfect Corojo proportion. I love corojo. I hate how corojo is often used causing me to hate most "corojo" branded sticks. This one is an exception. Perfect balance of sweetness & depth. Great, great stick.

Last nights Delights.

H Upmann Mag 48 EL 2009

Not bad. I was super interested to try this, as so many people raved about the chocolate flavor they got in this.....well I am not one of those. It was ok. Glad I never got a box, especially since I am an Upmann whore.

Started off slow, but got so much better by the halfway point. I can see the potential.

Cigarro del dia - numero cinco

Well, where do I begin? Soft box-press, a little under-filled, and an open draw. Flavors consisted of earth, spice, chocolate, dark fruit, and a slightly sweet and nutty note on the finish. Mid 2/3 and final third a beautiful espresso note appeared. The aroma was intoxicating.

Like all the Gurkha's I've had in the past, this one burned rather quick and the burn was wonky at times; I had to fix it multiple times, but I'll attribute that to the weather. It wasn't bad, but the only thing that saved this cigar was the espresso note and the aroma that came w/ it. If I had to rate it out of 10, I'd say a 6 out of 10.

Maybe it's like becoming one with the cigar. You lose yourself in it; everything fades away: your worries, your problems, your thoughts. They fade into the smoke, and the cigar and you are at peace. - Raul Julia
