Cigarro del dia - numero siete

Whatever floats yer boat....as long as it's cigar related.

Well, there usually isn't anything remarkable about this Casa Trompeta Connecticut, except that it was rolled in February of 2013! I only have a handful of cigars (of my own) which are older than this one, and their days are definitely numbered. Most of the Connecticut "bite" is gone from this cigar, though the retrohale still has some zing to it. Burning like a champ, too.

In what is a bit of a forum run (2 posts back to back) for the Conny wrapper I spent Sunday on the porch enjoying this classic 'bad boy'.

After the past couple of very pipe-centric weeks, I had to check and make sure I still remembered how to smoke a cigar.

I do. Image

Finished up Stew's new wrapper parcel this week. Both had a nice vanilla/toffee finish on the retro with the Candela really feeling like spring in a cigar. A bit grassy, some pepper, that retro finish. Unfortunatly I couldn't get either to burn right to save myself. Of all the options I go back to this as my favorite:

Hab maduro- molasses type sweetness with a nutty fat quality... reminded me of a mr goodbar. My opinion the best wrapper for the test blend used. Ill go with Candela 2nd as what I smoked really was enjoyable.

One of three versions I got in a sampler. A fine start to the set.
