Last nights Delights.
La Escogida Lonsdale Nov '14
Damn smooth and creamy.
Zed's Blend No.5
Blended these a few weeks back and posted about them. Wanted to give at least 2 weeks, but they got more than 3 weeks drying out.
Not bad. Smoked well enough, but still need to figure out how much filler is too much to make it too tight of a draw. This was a little tighter than a Padron 2000 draw. Flavor was less potent than expected, but I shouldn't have been surprised as I only used 1/2 leaf of ligero each cigar. I would definitely smoke these if they were a production, but not pay too much for em.

Having one of my last few Blessed Leaf Kairos. Meanwhile, my neighbor's house alarm has been going off for over an hour. Apparently, they're either dead or not home. Either way, I hope the alarm stops soon. The thing is frequently the source of my ire, as they seem to have neither control nor understanding of its use.

[UPDATE] The alarm has been joined by a second. It's like dueling a$$holes here today.

Good deal, Zed. since you're rolling for yourself, take a draw off the bindered body (before the wrapper). If it draws well before going into the mold, it'll be fine afterward, too. in general, the wetter the filler, the less you use, because it will just keep compressing on itself. Drier leaf can really be pack in and you'll be okay.

Stay smokey, my friends.

A fine day, some leaf raking, some football, a cigar, and, later, a big band job. That's plenty! A week after rolling, this combo of Peruvian and broadleaf filler (no wrapper!) is really quite good. I think these are just gonna stay "naked."

Picked up this new (to me) AJ cigar at my local shop. It was very good!

Good as gold? Nah, but I'm not really into precious metals, anyway.

No pics, but had a wonderful night smoking with my dad and brother. It was snowing so we put the deck umbrella up by the hot tub, lit up some Short Stories, and soaked for an hour while smoking. Lovely evening.
