Is that the 'A' size? How long of a smoke is that, Stew?

9 x 48, and it took me 2:15 of steady going. It was quite fine all the way through!

What the literal Fr€nch !!!! 2:15 !? Did you only smoke half ? Something that size will undoubtedly take me 4 hours or more. I smoked a robusto for almost 2.5 hours last night. How do you people draw that much, and not have it overheat let alone just DRAW that much to burn it that quickly ?

From last evening. I am SOOO ready for it to be warm enough that I can sit out in the yard and not be surrounded by garage stuffs.

I *totally* read stuffed giraffes when I skimmed through that post....

Any theories on why the CyB line never took off? Great smoke, maybe it just got lost in the market.

I like them, too, and have about 30 sticks at home. They were Cuenca y Blanco until a couple years ago. Maybe the trademark battle/issue caused them some other troubles.

From the original release I fell in love. Theeeeen came the subsequent releases that were just terrible. I remember smoking one in particular that was a citrus bomb. Sure it makes a great companion, but it almost tasted like a flavored cigar. Not good. Haven't gone back.

There was A LOT of hubbub at inception, but they failed to carry an audience. Don't know why, although I bought a bunch early on and was disappointed with a terrible rate of construction problems - specifically, half of them were unsmokeably plugged. Never went back because I felt ripped off paying double for them (because half were no good). Even if they got the process fixed, I tend to be unforgiving. If there were lots of guys like me, it'd be hard to bring them back.

I'm a very steady smoker. It rarely leaves my hand and I probably puff 3-4 times a minute, on average. I've never really had an overheating problem until the last couple of inches. Perhaps my mouth is just charred and scarred from years of hot beverages that it doesn't register the heat level. Or, perhaps, some people are just less "manly." Or not...

I am curious how low you and everyone else smoke their cigars in general. I am almost always smoking my cigars to the last 1/2"-3/4". There is never a "getting too hot to smoke". It is always "it has turned bitter and not right anymore".

Depends on the cigar, Zed. I typically go until it either says "no mas" (like yours) or when it does get hot for either my fingers, lips, or mouth. Rarely before two inches.

Had the chance to visit with Phillip Zanghi of Debonaire Cigars today. Tried his new(ish) Indian Motorcycles cigar, and came back with a few special treats. He's quite a guy. One of the most energetic, upbeat guys I've ever met. Very positive, and it rubs off on the employees around him. One of those guys who leaves you glad for having met him.
