The Añejo post-original release is truly different. The first batch were an unplanned blend after a storm took most of their Opus wrapper. It was Opus guts with a new wrapper. After that, they went back and tweaked it to be more purposeful.

If it gets that bad I'm gonna get a semi and a Trans Am blocker and do over the road runs down to Nica, Smokey and the Bandit style.

For what it's worth, I meant to refer to that, Kip. I think the 2001-present (2000 being the Opus innards) Anejos are even different from eachother. Now, 15 releases (or 30, potentially) is a difficult thing to maintain consistency from but I'm just throwing it out there.

You've misunderstood. I've smoked the 46, and some of the other sizes, except the 77. I steer clear mostly because of the "talk" surrounding that cigar. I'm sure it's a fantastic stick, and one that I'm looking to try someday, but, as of right now, I'm good with the other sizes some people won't touch.

Speaking of which, I do have one Anejo 50 that has been sitting in my humidor for two years, and I'll join you in smoking it for New Years Eve. :)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Years, Hoosier!

Oh, I reread your OP and I completely read it wrong the first time. Was just wondering how you could not like something you had'nt tried. lol

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too brother.

I've been more than intrigued with some of Gurkha's B&M offerings. I saw these on the BestCigarPrices website and decided to give them a try. I know, it's an online retailer, but I couldn't pass up the sale price. I've read some reviews online and it fits my profile, so why the hell not, right? Have any of you burned these before?

Edit: I'm a sucker for anything San Andreas wrapped. One of my favorite wrappers on the market today!

Maybe it's like becoming one with the cigar. You lose yourself in it; everything fades away: your worries, your problems, your thoughts. They fade into the smoke, and the cigar and you are at peace. - Raul Julia

I wait all year for travelling season. This year I have a couple travellers helping me out. This is hopefully the first of at least two buys to help build aging stock.

Hoyo de Monterrey Le Hoyo de San Juan.
Never had these, but had to get a few for future. They are ridiculous online, so at 2/3 the price, why not.

Aaaaaand some more boxes of H Upmann Connie A's. Great googly moogly do I love the cigars I have with only a couple years on them. Had to grab some while I could.

I may or may not have gone absolutely apesh*t with the cBid thing. @Stewmuse, you're going to have to remove all the dividers from that humidor for sure....

I have heard good things about East India. Let us know!

The San Juan has been silent to my ears. I don't know of anyone who's smoked it. That's odd for a new release. I love Le Hoyos. I'm interested to hear your take.

Kip, Cbid should have a lock-out. You need to control yourself...
