Chillin on the back porch with the Moose today. Rather mild and creamy, somewhat vegetal as well.

Re: Cigarro del dia - numero siete
After my initial concerns on the first puff of this cigar being too strong were lifted I absolutely loved the hour on the back porch with this Ogre robusto. Smoked it down to an inch enjoying the light breeze and sunshine this afternoon.

Re: Cigarro del dia - numero siete
The Colorado was the original line. I liked it a couple years after. I didn't think they were as bad as you and Kurt remembered.Kip wrote:About ten-ish years ago, when the original Casa Magna achieved CA's #1 cigar, I scoffed. I guffawed. I ridiculed. It was a crap cigar. I thought it was straight-up trash. I never looked back.
The last time I was in La Fábrica, David gave me this Casa Magna Colorado. I just lit it, and I'm liking it quite a bit so far. I don't think my tastes changed this much. Does anyone remember what the original line was that made #1? Was it this one? If so, this is an entirely different cigar than then. If not, this is a much better offering from them....

Sometimes I get tired of colmado smokes and have to splurge. While some of their business practices may be seen as derivative, this is a fantastic smoke every time.

Habano Rosado was up to bat today.. cigar kept its creamy quality along with some retro spice and maybe the start of a leather note. I just couldn't nail it down.

Those are the habano padilla fumas. I gotta say they are really nice for their price point. Glad you liked it.
On a different note the Gringo on Safari courtesy of Casa Trumpeta I enjoyed yesterday.
