Ah. I thought you were actually going to construct a cabinet for them. Thanks...Zedman05 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2018 5:11 pmAs what progresses ? Not sure of your statement. I just took 2 different bundles of 2 (so 100 cigars total) and made 2 wheels. These are definitely going away for a bunch of years.Stewmuse wrote:Great idea, Zed! I’m sure you’ll share pics as it progresses, yes?

Re: Cigar Hauls
My second set of cigars bought from the liquidation sale. I am most eager to try the Jesus Fuego 22*/83* sticks. None of the boxes were full, but there are 13 of the 888s, 9 of the Ortega Serie D, and 8 of the Fuegos, plus the 5 JJ Maduros. Whee!

Re: Cigar Hauls
A selection of cigars after my final (???) order through Craig’s friend. Yeah, my “cigar budget” has really taken a hit, but the amount I spent through the sale is WAY lower than what I would have paid online or at a store. Plus, most of these have been sitting quite awhile and some (like the Lou Rodriguez’ and the J Fuegos) are not to be found again, or not readily acquired (the 8-10 Cuban cigars I bought). Total win.

Glad to see people with space and budget 'helping' a BOTL out who, without said assist, woulda been stuck with a lot of really flammable decorations otherwise. A win for all

Maybe it's like becoming one with the cigar. You lose yourself in it; everything fades away: your worries, your problems, your thoughts. They fade into the smoke, and the cigar and you are at peace. - Raul Julia

Stoked they showed up so quickly and that you're excited about them. Best thing to hear for a middle man.

Re: Cigar Hauls
A package arrived today from DC. His message to me was quite funny, and there are some cigars here that I haven’t tried yet. Of note, the famed “Kip Sticks” are included in this package! Extremely grateful for this bomb, DC, and for this forum! Blessed weekend to you all!

Re: Cigar Hauls
I broke my new years resolution of not buying on Cbid for this little bundle. Mainly I did this because I think AJ Fernandez took a cigar I loved- Pueblo Dominicano- that had a name/branding that wasn't necessarily his and turned it into this Diesel line (Diesel Rage). Looking at the blend (sun grown oscuro wrapper - nic binder and fillers) it is seems very similar to the Pueblo Dominicano that AJ also made, but the Pueblo name-as stated- I think was borrowed. Thus repackaging, sizes offered, and maybe even tweaking a good blend. -The PD had some dominican tobacco in it as well methinks... Either way a smart move in that Diesel is one of his cigar babies and a line people really seem to seek. Also he can maybe get a better price point with such more established brand name? If it is as I suspect the news could make me a very happy person.
Also I got a steal on a 5-er of John Bull Bulldogs...The legend lives on!

Re: Cigar Hauls
Like a fool I wandered onto Cigarbid the other day. The ensuing results are in the photo. Not a bad haul for $50 (20 cigars and 2 literal cigar punches), but I am disappointed in myself. I was gonna try to go all year without a purchase until the holidays, but have failed twice now. Here and earlier when I got some 5ers of Diesel Rage to try and see if they reminisce of Pueblo Dominicano (spoiler=they do ).
These will go down for a minimum 90 day nap and I anticipate trying them all for the first time in Fall (prime porch smoking weather-usually).
